On February 12-13, Perm hosts a delegation from Tyumen. At an official meeting, the cities have exchanged best practices in ecology and urban management.

A delegation from Tyumen arrived in Perm. The delegation includes Alexander Ilyin, Deputy Mayor of Tyumen; Alexander Tropin, Deputy Director of Tyumen's Department of Urban Affairs; Anna Bitiukova, Head of Ecology Division at Tyumen's Department of Urban Affairs; Vitaly Lachugin, Director of Municipal Institution "Nekropol"; and Sergei Nefedov, Director of Municipal Institution "LesParkKhos."

On the first day of their visit, the delegation toured the Yegoshikha Valley, Cherniayevsky Forest, the municipal dog shelter and the Municipal Budgetary Institution "Funeral Services."

Additionally, a working meeting on urban beautification and landscaping took place in Perm City Hall. Deputy Mayors Dmitry Galikhanov and Artem Balakhnin, Chief of Ecology and Nature Use Department Dmitry Andreyev, and Deputy Head of Roads and Beautification Department Olga Yakovleva attended the meeting.

Dmitry Andreyev shared municipal best practices in ecology with his colleagues.

"In Perm, there are 29 specially protected natural territories, with green zones occupying 56% of the city's area. Under the leadership of city authorities, several initiatives aimed at preserving the green fund are being implemented. One such initiative is the 'Green Belt' project, which focuses on developing a water-green infrastructure."

Within the "Green Belt" project initiated by the Perm Governor Dmitry Makhonin, renovation work has been carried out in seven recreation areas in Cherniayevsky Forest. Wooden decks have been installed: gravel, running, and cycling paths totaling 26.5 kilometers have been created. Eco-trails have been set up in the valleys of the Yegoshikha and Danilikha rivers, accompanied by viewing platforms, children's play areas, and sports grounds. This year, the first visitor center "Yegoshikha" was opened. Work is underway to establish three more visitor centers: "Gorki" (in Gorodskie Gorki Park, Motovilikhinsky District); "Danilikh" (in Kamensky Park, Dzerzhinsky District); and "Serebryansky" (in Serebryansky Park, Sverdlovsky District).

Furthermore, Dmitry Andreyev briefed his colleagues on the operation of municipal plant nurseries and the practice of mobile landscaping. Artem Balakhnin spoke about the administration’s work in the areas of water supply and wastewater disposal.

On the second day, colleagues from Tyumen will visit the Municipal Institution "Urban Green Construction" and the municipal plant nursery in Archiereika microdistrict. There will also be a meeting with representatives of the Department of Housing and Communal Services of Perm Administration.
